Ewa Kara - Richmond upon Thames Brand and lifestyle photographer - jumping with a camera in her hands

Hello, stranger!

29 June 2022

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Ewa, I live in the beautiful London Borough of Richmond with my husband and the carpet-covered floors (#rentingNotOwning). And as you can tell from that one paragraph I have a weird sense of humour and I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I am a portrait and brand photographer.

This blog is something I wanted to start for quite a while now and here it comes!

I want to bring you a value, and share some tips and tricks on how to look good in photos or how to use them in your (big or small) business, I want to share all the shoots I am doing but within them, I want to write about YOU – all the lovely people I meet during those shoots. I want to celebrate your trust to open yourself up in front of my camera.

I’m usually also a bit shy, so unless I know you a bit better I won’t be the most energized person in the room, telling jokes all the time. And I think that’s good because I only know dry jokes.

I wrote a novel – it’s not published yet. I don’t even have a publisher yet but I do have an agent. I think that’s an interesting trivia however please don’t get too excited about it – I’m pretty sure you won’t read it. Well, unless you know Polish.

I love dogs but I don’t have one (again… #rentingNotOwning). Cats do like me… sometimes. There’s this cute one on my street. I think we will be friends anytime soon.

That’s probably like the most boring stuff photographer can write about herself. Cats, dogs, carpets… But well… what I am writing here is truth and nothing but the truth, and I promise from now on it only gets better and instead of writing weird stuff about myself, I’ll stick to photography and photoshoots. Or… Mostly I will.

Thanks for being here, x

PS. As you probably can tell from the title of this post I am a fan of Closer, this movie from 2004 with Natalie Portman, Julia Roberts, Jude Law, and this second guy I never remember his name (I’m so sorry Mr Owen, I had to google you!). If you haven’t watched it, you should! It’s beautiful but also very sad.

PS2. I find the first post on any blog always embarrassing somehow. Bloggers (well… me) put lots of attention to it and then barely anyone sees it. So from this place, I just wanted to say thank you again for reading this and I hope you have a wonderful day! X
